Upper School Clubs
Mu Alpha Theta / Math Club
Mrs. Anna Katsoulis, Advisor
Math Club offers opportunities to practice math problems and to talk about the impact of mathematics on the world at large. This group meets once a month during lunchtime. Students will also participate in math competitions throughout the school year.
Key Club

Sponsored by Kiwanis International, this club assists high school students in performing acts of service for the community.
Student Government Association
Mrs. Shona Daniels, Advisor
Students in each homeroom will be asked to support their SGA officials in planning service projects and social events throughout the year.
Student Ambassadors Club
Mrs. Jennifer Smith, Advisor
Students from grades 8 - 12 may join this group to serve as ambassadors for The Oakwood School. They may be called on during the school year to act as hosts to visiting and potential students, as well as to speak at admissions events and open houses.
Environmental Council
Mrs. Bonnie Calhoun, Advisor
Students from each class elect representatives to the Environmental Council, which is responsible for working to help the environment, both at school and globally. This first year, projects may include setting up a system for recycling and finding ways to reduce the school's use of electricity and paper. The students plan and implement all projects, which may be accomplished during the school day. The Council meets once a week in Mrs. Calhoun's classroom.
College Guidance Club
Mrs. Michelle Graziosi, Advisor
This club will provide an opportunity to gather with Mrs. Graziosi and other students to discuss college search issues. Topics covered will include: increasing your college options, finding the best college fit, understanding financial aid, building your resume, and more.
European Union Shakespeare Competition
Mr. Chris McDonald, Advisor
This event is designed to help high school students develop their communications skills and appreciation of language and literature through study, interpretation, and performance of Shakespeare's monologues and sonnets. Students interested in participating will meet throughout the year to rehearse for the competition, which is typically held early in the second semester.
Dog Training Club
Dr. Linda Kuhn, Parent Advisor
Students work with dogs from the Humane Society and learn from a veterinarian and a dog trainer how to help make them adoptable pets.
